Yowzers! Nando’s!

Sunday December 10th was an exciting day for me! I didn’t know it then, but Nando’s had just opened up a restaurant inside the GTA (the closest to me before this was Richmond Hill, which with no car wasn’t all that close) really close to where I live and work. It’s located on Eglinton Ave E just east of Laird.

I checked other metblog sites and found that it’s been mentioned on the Karachi, Lahore, Vancouver, Dubai sites. Has been mentioned also in an Islamabad post (tongue in cheek) about how though they don’t have one in their airport, that shouldn’t be a reason to not have a nice airport. Also, mentioned by Melbourne though about how prices were too high in their city… but still look at the world wide mention!

I found this place while exploring the streets of Cape Town and couldn’t wait to taste it again. They used to have a restaurant at Eglinton Ave E and Brimley but it didn’t last long though I don’t know why. Here’s to hoping it gets enough business to stick around. (Hint hint!) So, go try some spicy chicken and peri-peri fries if you’re in the neighbourhood!

@Saira, I have tried Nando’s at Mississauga but the food their was not that spicy, like the way we have in Karachi.

I have never been to the Mississauga one but I know what you mean. If I went to one and the spicey-ness was not present I would be rather upset!

I do a lot of cooking with the pili-pili (or peri-peri) peppers too. (Usually called Congo Peppers or something along those lines in the stores)
