Wonder Why

There is always something about visiting Canada’s Wonderland that bothers people. (I suppose you could say the same thing about all of life) People hate to wait in line. Especially during those hot summer weekends, it seems as if every ride has a one hour minimum wait time.

However, when I visited Universal’s “Islands of Adventure” theme park the wait wasn’t usually noticed or commented upon. Look at the picture above. This shows the waiting area for a ride called the Dueling Dragons. Depending on what side of the coaster you are waiting for you walk into different areas of the castle from entering, then going down into the dungeon area. Waiting was fun, interesting and kept you busy. Wonderland could definitely benefit from this sort of thing. The only thing that comes close for us is the Top Gun waiting areas that are only used when the park is very busy and aren’t that entertaining even if it is just your first time through the ride.
