smoking in the hallway

One of my neighbours smokes in the hallway of our apartment building. The smoky smell goes into my apartment; I guess I can smell it because I don’t smoke. I put a “please don’t smoke in the hallway” sign on my door, and in reply, there is cigarette ash deposited on the carpet every couple of days. *sigh*

that’s awful. i hope they are not leaving ashes there on purpose but it sort of sounds like it!

i am sensitive to smoking as well.

point is, it’s not allowed for people to smoke in hallways. if you have management, contact them now about this.

as a smoker, i can tell you most smoke alarms will never get tripped by cigarette smoke. unless it’s a super duper gazillion dollar smoke alarm. your best bet is to complain to management.
