well, virgin claims to list the top 11 underground rail systems in the world. no surprise that london is #1. no surprise that toronto, didn’t even make it on the list. i was surprised though that montreal did. good for you montreal.

    8th in the world!! Yes, I would have no reason to expect Montreal to be there or not myself as well. But definately NEVER Toronto

    Montreal DOES deserve it’s place in the top 10 or 11. Toronto can only be green with envy at an old yet effecient network that is also aesthetically pleasing. Noting the entries in the list it’s no surprise that size, function, and look were criteria.

    It’s no wonder. (A) Quebec gets our tax dollars as they’re a have-not province, and (B) Quebec, unlike Ontario, funds Montreal’s system so they have the funds to expand it. Jealous? Yup!
