Have Mac Haters at Bell Changed Their Tune?

The success of the iPhone is unquestionable. Mac vs. PC, Blackberry vs. iPhone… All users of computers and mobile phones are potential customers for the mobile giants. If Rogers loses it’s exclusive rights things could get pretty good for consumers (of expensive gadgety cell phone thingys).

In this economy service and selection are a welcome commodity. Big Bell has upgraded their network and may be realizing it can’t just throw away customers any longer. Looks as though we soon may see if Apple haters have changed their tune in November.

I’m not a big fan of any of the Canadian cell companies, but competition is a good thing for consumers in Canada. Maybe now it’ll be possible to get a decent data plan for less than $100/month (after taxes, fees, etc) that Rogers wants.

Bell: 10 years behind the times. Not that Rogers is much better.

Not exactly 10 years behind just overly restrictive. Essentially selling your soul (Sympatico) to Microsoft and then letting the iPhone (and anything Apple) drift to others was hardly a way of securing customers. Stocking your product list with cheap iPhone imitations could only last so long.

The Canadian telecom cartel will continue but some competition, however small, will benefit the average customer when it comes to iPhones.

Um, Bell is completely out of touch with reality. Their own career employees have no clue how much people hate that company. Large Canadian communication companies (carriers) are run by complete amateurs.

True enough. Such is the mindset of many that provide such a “captive” service. There are very few choices, and most are not the best.

    LOL Welcome to Canada. Pathetic.
