Lights Out Toronto

At first I thought it was a celebration of the blackout. No, it’s something more serious.

Migrating birds tend to travel at night. When they reach a city, the bright lights from office buildings disorients and attracts them. This usually ends in a “splat!”

So the City wants you to turn it off or turn it down. By turning off office lights, or reducing their intensity, you can help prevent bird deaths.
