CIUT Traffic News
The morning commute, a daily ritual which allows drivers time to comtemplate the larger questions of life. Questions such as, ‘Who am I?‘ and ‘What am I doing here?‘
But if you’re sick of asking and trying to answer these questions, which by the way, have no answers, then CIUT has great news for you. The student station has teamed up with U of T’s Intelligent Transportation Systems Centre, part of U of T’s nerd patrol, I mean, Civil Engineering department.
According to News@UofT, “the centre has 20 television monitors connected to more than 200 traffic cameras and traffic detectors operated by Ontario’s Ministry of Transportation and the City of Toronto.”
Like most people, I go watch CP24 or go online for my morning traffic news, but if you don’t have a telly or laptop in your car, CIUT delivers up-to-date, live traffic news every ten minutes.
It might just save you time on your commute. Precious time you can spend at work, contemplating the larger questions of life. Quesions like, ‘What am doing here this early?‘
