July 17 - July 25?
In my post of July the 18th I talked about the power outage seen up in the West Gwillimbury area north of Toronto. Later it was reported that two tornado’s touched down in Newmarket and that the storm “caused the most damage to Ontario’s electricity system since 1998’s massive ice storm. At one point, about 170,000 residents were without power.”
That the winds were strong I can attest to both as a driver that night and by seeing this aftereffect on a farm in Bradford just this past Sunday.
In the same linked to CBC article above they note that some residents still do not have power as a result of the storm!
Apparently some 400 residents are still waiting for service to resume in their homes…
