True, realized savings?

Where have you begun to notice savings? I’ve been reading lately about how the Taxi companies will pass on the 1% to their drivers and that governmental fees for passports etc. will not change.
I’ve noticed it most significantly at Tim Horton’s where my regular, medium double-double is now $1.24.
The main argument against the 1% cut is that the 2 or 3 cents recovered for the average user isn’t worth the effort.
(Though yes on larger purchases you will save more than mere cents.)
The funny thing is that the GOP has now technically reduced their income while really the population might not realize any true savings in a normal day. This observation is what led me to want to write this. Show me where you have truly noticed savings! Not as a challenge… just to keep the eyes open to what is changing or not.
