Toronto International Dragonboat Festival

The Toronto International Dragonboat Festival is taking place this weekend over at Centreisland. War drums beating, teams chanting, people cheering. In addition they have all kinds of stalls ranging from handicrafts to food to paddling gear. There will be lion dances and dragons (or people dressed up like dragons) too. Be sure to bring sunscreen and try and get on the ferry early in the morning so you don’t have to wait in line for an hour.
