Discriminating Shareholders Gone Wild???
I was interested to hear that FORD Motorcompany’s CEO was taking 40% cut in his pay(definitely had some room to fall from that high level but it’s a worthy jesture). Of course this cut was based on Ford’s reduced market share and poor financial results. Ford Shareholders have also tabled 10 other proposals to “revitalize” the company including one that ties executive compensation to strides made in reducing greenhouse gas emissions. It seems that some groups (most notably the American Family Association - see hate group) have pressing Ford for some time. I remember back in November the AFA boycotted Ford for recruiting gay employees, giving them same-sex benefits and advertising in gay publications. It’s probably no “coincidence” that one of the 10 shareholder proposals to be reviewed May 10th will be an amendment to Ford’s discrimination policy. It seems like a sick joke but the proposal is meant to remove sexual orientation from Ford’s nondiscrimination policy ??? WHAT!!!
Of course sales in North American cars are down because Ford doesn’t discriminate enough…???@#!…
I mean why alienate your shrinking customer base even more. YOU NEED ALL THE FORD DRIVERS YOU CAN GET. Gay or straight. Who’s next on the hate list? Tall people? Short people? Women? Cat owners? 4×4 owners that don’t use their truck to offroad? Perhaps they will start with their workers in Mexico, Canada, or wherever because they are “un American”???
Well it will be interesting to see how many Mazda’s, Jaguar’s, Volvo’s, Land Rover’s, Ford’s or Lincoln Navagator’s will roll off the lot this summer. Interesting where some people choose their scapegoats considering the biggest “innovation” from Ford has been the Navigator and the F150. Hmmm V8 engines and 1.00+ a litre gas (that’s US$3.25 a gallon)… Must be a “gay” agenda… YEAH RIGHT… Ford derserves to be smoothered by a million SMART cars and small imports.
