Protest against support for…
To contrast the Support Rally, on March 18th @ 1pm the Toronto Coalition to Stop the War is planning to take part in an International “March in March” anti-war protest. (Demonstration held to coincide with the 3rd Anniversary of the Invasion of Iraq)

In Canada, we mustn’t forget our government’s role in all of this. Just because we don’t have troops in Iraq doesn’t mean we’re not part of the “war on terror.” Canada has nearly 2,000 troops in Afghanistan - our biggest deployment since the Korean War - which relieves US troops to go to Iraq. According to Defence Chief Rick Hillier, the mission of our troops in Afghanistan is “to kill and be killed.” (1)
They are meeting in front of the US Consulate @ 360 University Avenue, Toronto.
The Iraq war debate has been played out so many times in so many forums, coffee shops, break rooms, etc. that it may seem pointless to ask for opinions at this date. I know many tire of hearing about it etc. But this is a Toronto event and still some are very involved.
So I ask: thoughts?
