Warm Inside Despite the Cold…

It was great treat catching the BURN ROME IN A DREAM show last night. Winter seemed to unfold all at once but it was toasty inside Sneaky Dee’s. I was pleasantly surprised by both opening bands! The night started off with two duo’s, Toronto’s FEUERMUSIK and KICKERS from Montreal.

FEUERMUSIK were an interesting combo of Saxaphone and buckets. (Yes buckets rather than drums). Interesting rhythms and soaring Sax solos. WoW!

KICKERS are aptly named. Drums and Guitar!!! Victoria, the guitarist, rocked the place. I was most impressed when she played keyboards and guitar at the same time. Incidentally the band used to have keyboardist but her absence did not minimize their presence AT ALL! So good. No wonder these guys opened up for Guelph/Toronto’s CONSTANTINES in Montreal. I’ll definitely look for more of them in the future…

The headliners didn’t dissapoint either. Burn Rome in a Dream played one of their best shows to date even if it was their last. Got their new CD along with some cupcakes. AWESOME!!! It was great to catch up with the band and old friends. Still reeling from the show. Thanks for the music and the memories…
