Blast from the Past/Future

SIANSPHERIC/TOSHACK HIGHWAY!

As mentioned in an earlier post. A classic double bill this weekend. Adam Franklin (formally from Swervedriver) brings his Toshack Highway across the ocean to play with SIANSPHERIC. Saw Adam’s solo set at the Old York Tavern (167 Niagara) last night. Pretty awesome. That place is very cosy indeed, and the “stage” is a small corner of the bar. Didn’t distract from the set. It almost suited the solo guitar/singing.

The double bill hits Hamilton tonight (Friday at the CASBAH) and makes a stop at the Drake Hotel here in Toronto Saturday. There are copies of the 2003 Sonic Unyon split CD “Toshack Highway vs. Sianspheric - Magnetic Morning / Aspirin Age” (a double EP) for sale as well as the just released “Everday, Rock ‘n’ Roll is Saving my Life Vol.2″ which includes new, live and demo tracks.

Should be worth checking out (or picking up the CD’s…at Sonic Unyon, Toshack Highway dot com or your fave Music store)!

For the unfamiliar…
