Bruce Trail
Fall is the best time, in my oppinion, for a hike. The leaves are gorgeous and the fresh, crisp air makes it easier rather then hiking in hot and humid weather.
For those interested in taking a day trip out of the city, The Bruce Trail offers many sections ranging from beginner to advance trails.
I did an advanced trail a couple of years ago when I was at the peak of my athletic abilities. I assure you… wear proper hiking gear. The up and down climb was steep and intense. It was an awesome workout that gave us a brilliant view when we finally reached the look-out point.
You can join the membership on the site to help support keeping the trail well preserved. Personally, I prefer buying their loose-leaf binder. It’s a practical reference book with map trails and descriptions. You can take the pages out that you need for your day’s hike and leave the rest at home.
A perfect Christmas gift for those that love to hike or take scenic strolls!
