Corner Gas… Line-up?

For heaven’s sake… I just came back from the corner gas station after waiting for almost half an hour in a car-line-up just to fill up my tank.

It’s friggin’ 12:30am.

I’m not complaining about the price, though. And while the wait was somewhat annoying, it didn’t fuel me up nearly as much as watching cars come into the station and cut infront of people who had been patiently waiting for their turn.

And then watching these same people taking their time as they gingerly stroll across the lot and to the cashier. Actually, more then half of the people were NOT using the automated payment machines at the pump.

Why in such a situation, would some one be so self-involved to not only cut in line, but then make everyone wait just THAT much longer as they take their time, paying it the slow way. Why?

Total rudeness.

it’s just totally out of control. on days when i just don’t have the patience, i’ve resorted to waiting until morning or afternoon when the pumps aren’t so busy to gas up in spite of the fact that gas prices are higher at those times. you almost need to take some sort of self-defense class before you wander over to your local gas station. how sad is that!
