The End of the Sunday Driver

DD_VolvoDriveby.jpg

Don’t know if anybody noticed but many gas stations on the weekend had comical prices. Well that was before you actually pull up to the pump. “0.02″ or “0.00″ looks pretty good from afar. Did I “luck out” on my monthly fill up Saturday when I paid 98.9?!!! My GO train commute never looked better than now.

The local gas station’s price hikes on the weekend must have allowed them to update their signage. Oh no, THREE DIGITS BEFORE THE DECIMAL. Even more reason to grab the bicycle, skateboard, or better yet stroll through our smogy streets.

Gone are the days of the Sunday drive…

I went to a job interview out by the airport… it didn’t seem that far and it wasn’t, only took me about half an hour to get there.

On the way home I happened to be coming up to the stoplights and there was a gas station with gas for 93.9.

I knew I needed gas but I wasn’t really thinking about it then until my honey said, “don’t you need gas?”.

And *duh* he was right, so I pulled into the line-up of cars and waited to pump gas.

With these prices I’ve only been putting in $5 or $10 worth at a time, but the other day, I decided to fillerup.

Good farging thing I did too, since the prices haven’t come down any.

I’ve still got 3/4 of a tank, thank you very much.
