Bug Off

Just when you thought it was safe to go outside, Toronto Public Health has confirmed the city’s first case of the West Nile virus. Oh great – that’s just what we need to hear! *sigh*

Guess there goes my husband’s visions of his dream vacation – a week without his Blackberry, fishing before daybreak in pristine, untouched Ontario wilderness.

Take all the recommended precautions my friends – better safe than sorry!

Actually I was up at naiscoot lake on the long weekend (hence no pictures of Caribana from my side) and it was surpringly completely bug and mosquito free. i had bought myself a whole can of “deep woods” bug repellant and didn’t even use it once. i think i got bit just once in four days.
