Shy’s Good, Bad and Ugly of Toronto #1

The Good…

The other day, I was at the gym and an old 80’s new wave tune came on. I started to sing along when I noticed across the gym, another gym rat resting between sets. He startedto bob his head to the tune. To the left of me, some one whistled the right notes. And to the right of me, another was tapping his foot to the beat.

I love Torontorians… and their taste for the retro 80’s.

The Bad…

Like Halai mentioned, there’s the threat of rolling blackouts. Of course, I hope we don’t have any problems with blackouts. At all. But what amazes me are how many people treating like it’s the end of the world. There are countries where rolling blackouts happen all the time.

We actually have it pretty good here.

The Ugly…

The smell of garbage. And I don’t mean just around garbage trucks. These past two weeks, I’ve been smelling a lot of garbage in pockets of areas in Scarborough. I can’t figure out where the smell is coming from. But it’s been getting worse.
