I figured it was time to evict the pigeons off my balcony… again. I had tried last year, but my netting was not reaching high enough, so the birdies were flying in through the gap. I want to use my balcony now that the nice weather is on its way, so out they go!

I bought some PVC pipe to support netting, at the hardware megastore, this time, after measuring the height of the balcony ceiling. I cut them to size and secured them to the railings with those plastic tie things.

I can’t seem to get the netting to reach completely up to the ceiling. So the gap is just small enough to allow the pigeons to fly in, but not to fly out easily. So now they are flying into my neighbor’s netting-covered balcony, in search of a way out. Ooops. Sorry, neighbor.

However I was hopeful enough that I can keep improving my pigeon barrier, that I cleaned up all the pigeon poop.
