Ish! Ish!

Ish… that’s how my daughter says ‘Fish!’

We’re all very proud of her.

In light of this new development in our household, I’ve been thinking of that Toronto Aquarium plan they’ve tried to implement for the past ten or so years.

I’m almost on the verge of giving up. Yet there is a tiny part of me that is still desparately clinging on to hope that one day, in the near future, we will see an aquarium in Toronto.

Yes, I admit it. You’re looking at a huge marine life geek. My father raised me to look forward to weekly episodes of ‘Ocean’s Alive’ and ‘Beneath the Sea’.

With my daughter’s latest interest in ‘ish’ it would be perfect to have an aquarium to take her to.

i second the motion that toronto should have an aquarium to spruce up our waterfront. for a world-class city, most parts of our lakeshore look like a wasteland.

we’ve had the joy of taking our daughter to the monterey bay aquarium and long beach aquarium in california - she LOVED it.

i vote YES for a toronto squarium!

    judy,

my husband and i were just at the monterey bay aquarium this past fall. w/out our baby girl, though. she stayed w/ the grandparental units because the main reason we went to north cali was for a wedding.

    wicked place!!!

I too am all for a world class aquarium here in Toronto. Whenever I visit a large city in the states I must ALWAYS visit the aquarium. Plus all children love to see scary sharks and funny penquins and smiley dolphins!
